Planningtorock is one of these days’ most unique musicians, in her explosive performances video projections play together with extraordinary dressed and slightly husky singing and dancing artist on the stage. This winter is a harvest time for Planningtorock – in two oncoming albums materializes her solo work and collaboration with the duo The Knife.

Every Dausteg performance is themed. Riga set’s theme is Animism and Artificial Intelligence and dance as a ritual; accordingly, DJs invite audience not to leave their inner animal outside the door when entering the venue. To get approximate idea about the feeling of the evening DJ suggest to watch the introduction of Stanley Cubric’s movie «2001: Space Odyssey».

On Friday February 19th Norwegian improvisation and so-called death-jazz band Supersilent will perform in Riga. This concert is an important point of reference for the organizer Skaņu Mežs/ Sound Forest in their eight years long activity as Supersilent is a cornerstone in new history of music.

There is a carefully-crafted aura around Supersilent, which one could also describe as intelligently sensual and aesthetic  That aura comes from the much-repeated fact that they improvise all their music, never rehearsing or discussing it in advance.
