Among other things “Skaņu mežs” aims to disclose musical visions of people not working directly with music. That is what will happen in its bar/record shop on Miera iela 12 from May 19 to 21 – a famous poet, film director and journalist will appear there presenting music that inspires them.

On Thursday, May 19 the highly-regarded journalist and composer Edgars Raginskis from the distinguished Latvian Radio 3 Classical program will appear with his favourite music from 10 PM. On Friday, May 20 one of the top Latvian short film and music videos directors Mārtiņš Grauds will play his favourite music from 10 PM. Mārtiņš film “Lust Lust” was just screened at the Cannes Film festival. On Saturday, May 21 the most highly regarded Latvian Russian poet Sergejs will do exactly the same thing at the same time – 10 PM. And if you are a record collector, you are welcomed to join the record exchange session from 4PM on Saturday.
