We are honored to announce that “Skaņu mežs” consequently plain and functional visual appearance has been rewarded – the festival has been nominated by the Latvian Design Information Center (DIC) for the participation at the international design competition “Design Management Europe Award” (DME). Though we decided to decline the participation because the nomination came abruptly and presentation had to be prepared withing few days while right now all our resources are focused on the festival that will take place on September 16-17 and the sound art exhibition that will happen in October. However we promise to work in such a way that we won’t be surprising just in terms of sound but also the visual appearance! In the meantime we welcome people to visit our little bar/record shop on Miera iela 12 to enjoy one of the events there and the interior that is one of reasons we have been nominated for the competition.
