Emil Keller Skousen

Skousen works at the intersection of sound and visual art. Drawing on a mix of found materials, field recordings, and motifs from (cultural) history and popular culture, he combines sound, DIY robotics, and homemade instruments with graphics and text to create performances and installations.

Through the reintegration of household objects, tools, scrap, and outdated technology from the graveyard of consumer society, familiar motifs and figures are reincarnated and placed within a composted narrative — a sound field of industrial doom-and-gloom and piano bar noise that is at once epic and absurd.

Emil Keller Skousen will perform at 14:00 on 7th of November in DOM gallery. His exhibition will be open for viewers for another week, until 15.11.
