Grisha223 (NO) is an artist living in Norway’s Northern electronic music capital – Tromsø. She is active in the experimental and club music scene, both as a DJ and performer. In her live-sets, she aims to link sound performances to cultural critique and spatial explorations, both ambient and beat-based. She has built custom (mostly digital) instruments and her sets are often improvised, to create experiences unique to the very moment and space they are performed in. Grisha223 uses a lot of classical violin background, but aims for sounds that dissolves the hierarchies usually found in the western orchestra tradition by using the electric violin routed through a complex chain of effects.
